The stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

600 people reached the top of Mt. Everest in 2012. This blog got about 2,500 views in 2012. If every person who reached the top of Mt. Everest viewed this blog, it would have taken 4 years to get that many views.

Sixteen of Ottawa’s most gifted photographers are participating in a photo exhibit at the City of Ottawa Archives Gallery. The RA Photo Club and the Camera Club of Ottawa are proud to collaborate in this joint presentation of 40 prints with styles ranging from mesmerizing abstracts to stunning nature shots, striking figure studies and everything in between.

The exhibit is on from November 6 to December 27, Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

You can meet the photographic artists at the vernissage, which takes place on Thursday, November 15, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

James Bartleman Centre, 100 Tallwood Drive, Ottawa

The Archives Gallery is in the James Bartleman Centre, 100 Tallwood Drive, which is between Centrepointe Drive and the intersection of Meadowlands and Woodroffe. The Centre is on the south side of the median that divides Tallwood. If you are approaching from Meadowlands/Woodroffe, drive past the Centre and make a U-turn at the next stop. Turn into the driveway at 100 Tallwood Drive and proceed to the parking lot. From there you can see the entrance to the building.
